Manuel Hinojosa holds a degree in architecture and has been honored with the Alpha Rho Chi Award from Southwestern Louisiana. With nearly 50 years of extensive experience in the field, he has successfully designed a diverse portfolio of buildings across the state, with a primary emphasis on public schools and universities, as well as preservation and municipal projects. His collaborative efforts include partnerships with prestigious firms such as Kell Munoz Architects, and he has been nationally acknowledged as a Fellow by the American Institute of Architects. Holding a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Pan American, he recently showcased a solo exhibition featuring 200 of his paintings at the Brownsville Museum of the Arts. In addition, he has illustrated historical books for various authors, including his own works. In 2025, he released his second book, *Puertas Verdes: The Enlightenment of Juan David Bradburn*, a historical novel that delves into the life of an American filibuster engaged in the liberation of Mexico from Spain during the tumultuous period of Texas independence.
